Well.... what a start to the New Year! Thame Hurricanes Vvs Quainton Sails.
It was the first match of the year for Hurricanes and apart from the slightly ‘excitable’ first quarter an awesome game was played by all.
The defence played brilliantly, putting huge amounts of pressure on the opposing attack..... albeit sometimes physical pressure, Sue actually mounted her opponent
Centre court worked well.... Penny was always in space and Jo.... well Jo was everywhere this evening, a totally well deserved MOM
The attacking third worked hard, maybe too hard for the first half of the game, playing the ball around when all we needed to do was lob the ball to Hayley.... who not only managed to catch some very dodgy throws but also transformed them into goals.... from wherever she was in the D!
A great game was played by all! Totally amazing....leading to a 26-21 win for Hurricanes against Quainton!
