Tornadoes cause a storm in their first game!
Tornadoes 18 - 11 Jubilees
There were a few first game nerves seeing as it was the team's first game together and some members first game in the league! However, these were soon forgotton and it ended as a great start to the season for Tornadoes, winning 18-11 against Jubilees.
A surprise start in defence for Holly (completely out of position) due to traffic causing havoc with Nic's journey! The team took this in their stride and kept it strong in the defensive half of the court for the whole match. Great communication from Karen, and as soon as Nic hit the court you knew she was there ;)
Mid court worked wonders in pushing the ball into the attacking end allowing Catriona, Emily and Holly to get the goals in! We kept the ball working in and out of the circle and went at our pace, which worked best for us.
For the first match of the season, with a new team, it was a solid performance and we worked together really well. You wouldn’t have known it was our first game together as a team! As always areas to work on but we have lots more to give this season, which is always exciting.
Congratulations to Aimee for receiving Man of the Match for always being available on court whenever someone needed her.
